Hello,

after a very hard registration process Im glad to ask my question here :)
It would be nice if the page would be in english also.

My question is regarding mileage correction of an BMW E46, 320cd, model 2005.
I have a clone of Diga Consult to do this job -> Tacho Universal 2008 from China.

My question is:
Do I have to remove the needles from the dashboard to place the clip on the eeprom, which is placed on the backside.
Or can somebody send me a picture of the points which I can use on the frontside to program the eeprom.

I hope there is somebody out there who can help me!

In year 2005, probably you'll need to replace 35080V6 eeprom in this dashboard to new one for successful programming.

Anyway - remove needles to be sure what type of 35080 is there.. V6 or not.

There are not difficulties with removing needles in this dashboard - just turn and pull.

If you want to try your luck without removing needles, enclosed is a picture. GL

thanks for your quick reply! Where did you get this picture?
Is it possible that we can chat on MSN, SKYPE or ICQ?

Do you use a special kind of equipment for removing the needles? On youtube there is shown a special equipment to remove the economy needle.

Hi Phenom,

Question 1)
I have unsoldered the M35080 V6. Tried to readout the content, but it reads the wrong mileage.
I think that the clip does not contact the Eeprom correctly. What do you think? Could there be any other reason?

Question 2)
To program the mileage on the EWS you have to connect the Keyreader with the EWS.
For me it is not clear on which side the yellow cable of the connector of the Keyreader must be when its connected to the EWS.
The yellow cable could be on the left side as also on the right side. The connector does not have any coding to put it correctly to the EWS.

thanks for your help!

Hello Saveliy,

1) I didnt saved the dump, because the handheld says "General failure by reading"
I have used adapter No. 40 and the Port 35080. Red Cable connected to Pin1 of adapterboard and Pin1 of eeprom.

2) Please could you make a picture how it must be connected or tell me if its correct in the picture that I have posted?

thanks!

Question 3)
I think my keyreader is defect. The keyreader does not show the mileage.
Im using a seperate power supply for the keyreader.

I tried following:

- Keyreader alone without handheld connection and put key after power up
- Keyreader alone without handheld connection and put key before power up
- Keyreader connected with handheld and put key after power up
- Keyreader connected with handheld and put key before power up

It does not show the mileage of the keys :(((
